Croydon Drop in

Croydon Drop In (CDI)

Croydon Drop In (CDI) is a charitable organisation that exists to support young people aged 11 to 25 years old and families who live, work or study in the london borough of croydon.

CDI was established in 1978 and has been supporting young people and families throughout that time by offering free and confidential, counselling information, advice and advocacy services on site at – offices: 132 Church Street, Croydon CR0 1RF.

They are able to provide a borough wide service provision through their Outreach Team and TALKBUS, and mobile unit. The Outreach Team works with people in their own settings including schools, colleges and local estates. Part of the Outreach programme is commissioned and further information about services available can be viewed here.

CDI has, like many other voluntary sector agencies, experienced both challenging and positive times. CDI are proud to say that during all those times they have maintained a strong stance on being Person Centred in all their work. In 1995 they introduced their first Young People’s Team (YPT), this was long before ‘Participation’ was viewed with such importance and CDI are delighted that young people feature in their governance and all recruitment and selection processes. They are under no illusion that with co-design and delivery they are fulfilling the spirit and aims of their mission.
