The aims of the organisation are to support unpaid carers and people with care needs within their own or on outside activities. They provide a diverse range of support services for children, young people, adults and older people with disability across the Boroughs of Bexley, Greenwich and Lewisham
Crossraods Care South East London provide both regulated (personal care tasks) and non-regulated care services (befriending, shopping, housework, companionship, appointments). They operate 365 days of the year.
Crossroads Care South East London are registered and regulated by the Care Quality Commission whose role it is to promote improvement in social care and to ensure standards are met in 5 key areas.
A carer is someone, who, without payment, provides help and support to a partner, child, relative, friend or neighbour, and who could not manage without their support. This could be due to disability, frailty, age, physical or mental illness or addiction
A young carer is a child or young person under the age of 18 carrying out significant caring tasks and assuming a level of responsibility for another person, which would normally be an adult.
