Community Drug and Alcohol Team (DAT)
Croydon – Drug and Alcohol Action Team are responsible for the local delivery of the National Drugs Strategy (2002).
This includes making sure they successfully achieve key targets in terms of:
- Education and prevention
- Getting more people into drug treatment
- Reducing drug related crime
- Reducing supply
- Empowering local communities to resist drug misuse
Headed by the DAAT co-ordinator, the unit’s remit covers both drug and alcohol misuse in terms of strategy, pooled budgets and agencies’ performance.
